MEET DON’T SWEAT IT INC.
A nonprofit devoted to fostering local music and offering free and low cost events for the Rock Hill, SC community.
Our story begins over ten years ago, in 2010, when the seeds of our passion for local music were planted in the historic courtroom located in Old Town, Rock Hill, SC. What started as a simple project to showcase the talents of our friends' bands quickly blossomed into something much greater. In a town with few venues for our burgeoning music scene, our concerts at the Courtroom offered something unique — a public space where our local musicians could thrive.
From 2010 to March 2020, we orchestrated over 250 concerts including recurring events like Don't Sweat It Fest and Band from a Hat, which became highly anticipated annual and semiannual events.
HISTORY LESSON
When the COVID-19 pandemic stopped all live music in 2020, we halted all programming. In 2021, we emerged as a nonprofit organization under the name Don't Sweat It Inc., with a mission to foster local music and offer free and low cost events for the Rock Hill community.
Since our return to the stage in 2022, we have maintained a schedule of events, with an average of one show per month. Each event is still all ages and focused on featuring local bands.
